DESCRIPTION:DOYC observes the waxing crescent moon at the beginning of each season (i.e.\, the first\, fourth\, seventh\, and tenth months of each year). In modern astronomy\, a “new moon” is a completely dark moon\, but\, biblically speaking\, the new moon is a barely-visible crescent moon that occurs on the heels of a dark moon. \nOur new moon services are generally held outside and involve food\, fun\, and good midrash! \nPlease contact the elders to find out the meeting location.
