SUMMARY:Hannukiah Lighting with Beit Messiah
DESCRIPTION:Every year\, our friends at Beit Messiah host a hanukkiah lighting next to the Grace Heritage Center in downtown Georgetown. They have a giant lampstand that they inherited from Messiah Echad\, and they aren’t letting it go to waste. They usually do some music\, snacks\, and a short message before the lighting.\n\n\n\n\nDOYC will be joining them for the first night of the festival\, at 6:00 pm on Sunday\, Dec. 14th. \n\n\n\nThe event is outside\, so dress accordingly\, because shivering is no fun.

On the last day of February\, DOYC will be starting a new chapter at Georgetown Church of the Nazarene. \nThe address is 4051 E University Ave\, Georgetown\, TX 78626. \nIf you haven’t yet visited DOYC in person\, or it has been a while since you came\, please join us on 2/28! We have almost 60 people subscribed to our newsletter\, yet only about a sixth of those attend regularly in person. If even half of our subscribers showed up on the 28th\, it would be a really special service. \nOur start time will remain 10:00 AM. Please arrive ten minutes early to provide a welcoming environment for guests. \nGCNaz is on Hwy. 29 just east of a toll road. For those in Hutto\, Pflugerville\, Manor\, or further south\, Toll Road 130 will be your quickest route to the new location.

DESCRIPTION:While we all look forward to Resurrection Day\, there is something incredibly powerful about stepping back into the very room where it all began. Before the empty tomb\, there was a Passover Seder.\n\n\n\nYou’re invited to join my congregation on April 1st at 6:00 PM as we walk through the Seder together.\n\n\n\nBy experiencing the Seder\, the story of the crucifixion and the meaning of Unleavened Bread takes on a whole new layer of meaning and beauty. \n\n\n\nThe Bible never mentions a holiday called Easter\, but it speaks over and over again of Pesach (a.k.a. Passover). God calls it one of His feasts and wants it rehearsed every year because it commemorates such pivotal events in redemptive history. That day begins at sunset on Tuesday the 7th\, and it signifies the completion of the week of Israel’s set-apart journey away from Egypt. It’s also likely the day of Israel’s baptism in the Red Sea. In other words\, it’s a celebration of our victory over sin\, made possible through Christ! \nPlease join us at Brushy Creek Lake Park (map) from 6:30 to 8:30 on Tuesday evening. Dinner and drinks will be provided.
