SUMMARY:Passover Seder
DESCRIPTION:While we all look forward to Resurrection Day\, there is something incredibly powerful about stepping back into the very room where it all began. Before the empty tomb\, there was a Passover Seder.\n\n\n\nYou’re invited to join my congregation on April 1st at 6:00 PM as we walk through the Seder together.\n\n\n\nBy experiencing the Seder\, the story of the crucifixion and the meaning of Unleavened Bread takes on a whole new layer of meaning and beauty. \n\n\n\nThe Bible never mentions a holiday called Easter\, but it speaks over and over again of Pesach (a.k.a. Passover). God calls it one of His feasts and wants it rehearsed every year because it commemorates such pivotal events in redemptive history. We would love to observe it with you! \nRSVP at https://signup.com/go/TnnKKQd by Tuesday. Space is limited\, so don’t wait to reserve your spot.

SUMMARY:Unleavened Bread #7
DESCRIPTION:We also look forward to the seventh day of Unleavened Bread\, which is a high Sabbath. That day begins at sunset on Tuesday the 7th\, and it signifies the completion of the week of Israel’s set-apart journey away from Egypt. It’s also likely the day of Israel’s baptism in the Red Sea. In other words\, it’s a celebration of our victory over sin\, made possible through Christ! \nPlease join us at Brushy Creek Lake Park (map) from 6:30 to 8:30 on Tuesday evening. Dinner and drinks will be provided. Bring a folding chair to use so you don’t have to stand the whole time\, and bring a Bible or your Bible app. Also feel free to bring a drum or other musical instrument for celebrating!

SUMMARY:ONEG (POT LUCK) LUNCH
DESCRIPTION:Pot-Luck Lunch\n\n\nThis upcoming Saturday\, April 25. is the last Shabbat of the month\, which is typically our monthly fellowship meal. SUMMARY:SHAVUOT
DESCRIPTION:The 50th Day and Covenants\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLess than two weeks remain until the sacred day of Shavuot (a.k.a. Penetecost). The span of time between the Firstfruits of Barley (Ascension Day) and the Firstfruits of Wheat (Shavuot) is 7 x 7 days\, or 49 days. Yahweh told us to count those days—a process called counting the Omer. Shavuot occurs the day following the completion of counting the Omer (i.e.\, 7th Sabbath)\, which makes it the 50th day. That 50th day mirrors the 50th year\, which is the highly blessed Year of Jubilee. And you know what that signifies: freedom and restoration! That’s not the only thing it signifies\, however. It’s also the time of establishing and renewing covenants.\nLet’s step back to look at the Spring mo’ediym (“appointed times”) as a whole. The goal of the deliverance at Passover was not just to bring the Israelites out of enslavement to evil\, but to bring them into a new way of life under the authority of a loving king. The Exodus was the initiation\, but the ceremony at Sinai was the culmination. This was not just some typical religious ceremony; it was a wedding ceremony which centered around a covenant. YHVH wed Israel on the 50th day.Consequently\, during out Shavuot service\, you’ll learn about the Divine Marriage… and the Divine Divorce\, and how Yahweh brilliantly provided a solution to the dilemma of that divorce.Shavuot service will be held from 4:30-7:00 pm on Sunday\, May 24th at this location near downtown Round Rock. Please park in the lot at 305 W Anderson Avenue and make the short walk to the Head2Heart Restoration Ministries building. Dinner will be served at about 5:45.Please RSVP by replying to alexander_lawrence@doyc.faith and invite friends who would benefit from knowing how the Mosaic and New Covenants connect! We ask that everyone attending donate at least $20 to cover the cost of the meeting space and dinner.\nPS: Childcare will be provided. The kids will eat with us during dinner\, but will otherwise be in a separate room.\nSabbath Service\nShavuot will not replace our weekly Sabbath service; we’ll be at GCNaz during the next two Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 noon\, as usual.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nElectronic Giving\nMonetary offerings to DOYC can be given in the form of cash or check during services\, but it’s also easy to give electronically.
