Sukkot may be over, but Adonai declared that we should “stick around” for one more appointed time to wrap up the annual holy days. Tomorrow (Tuesday, 10/14/2025) is that day: Shemini Atzeret. It’s a day that signifies everlasting days of joy, fellowship, and celebration in the house of Elohiym.
We’ll be meeting at 10:00 at Heron Pavilion in San Gabriel Park (Georgetown).
You needn’t bring anything except a camp chair, a Bible, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Dress for hot weather. We’ll have BBQ for lunch, and there will be a variety of games (badminton, disc golf, secret agent, etc.) to play until we leave at 2:00.
Come increase our joy with your presence!
PS: Children are welcome to hang out with us at the park, but we won’t have a dedicated childcare provider, so please keep a close eye on your little ones. There is a playground right next to our pavilion.
PPS: Elohiym stipulated additional giving during Sukkot and the other two pilgrimage feasts. He said, “No man shall come before Me empty-handed.” Have you donated this week to Kingdom causes above and beyond your normal giving? You by no means need to give to DOYC, but as you consider where to direct your charity, DOYC would love to have some of your support. To give electronically, use this link. Thank you!
