Last but not least is the feast of the firstfruits of the wheat harvest. Falling 50 days after the firstfruits of barley (i.e. the day following 7 weeks of “counting the Omer”), this appointed time is a high Sabbath, but with the twist that we can prepare food for the feast. Shavuot is the day of covenants – an amazing day when God has repeatedly made permanent, binding agreements with his people throughout history. This year it falls on Sunday, June 8th Meeting place and time is TBD.
