Please note that the service on October 25 will follow with Oneg (Potluck). Please bring your favorite kosher dish enough to provide for your family and to share with a few others. Drinks will be provided. Hope you can join us!
Every year, our friends at Beit Messiah host a hanukkiah lighting next to the Grace Heritage Center in downtown Georgetown. They have a giant lampstand that they inherited from Messiah Echad, and they aren’t letting it go to waste. They usually do some music, snacks, and a short message before the lighting. DOYC will be […]
The new moon of winter (the 10th month) will be visible to the entire United States on the evening of Sunday, Dec. 21st. That also happens to be the last night of Hanukkah (how cool!). Please join us for dinner and a campfire devotional at the Lawrence household at 6:00 on 12/21. Let us know […]
Weather forecasts suggest that icy conditions may begin to form on roads as early as 6:00-9:00 AM on Saturday. Out of an abundance of caution, the Elders have decided to cancel this week's service. We will pick up again next weekend, Lord willing. Please stay safe, everyone.
There will be no service on February 14th as DOYC leaders do a practice run at GCNaz (our new location from 2/28/2026 onward).
The Sabbath’s service on 2/21/2026 will be held at the Lawrence household because we will no longer have access to St. Philip’s UMC. Be sure to reach out to Lead Elder Alexander Lawrence for the address.

On the last day of February, DOYC will be starting a new chapter at Georgetown Church of the Nazarene. The address is 4051 E University Ave, Georgetown, TX 78626. If you haven’t yet visited DOYC in person, or […]
Purim Paaarrr-tayh!! Purim is coming up soon—the evening of Monday, March 2—so mark your calendars! We'll be enjoying traditional foods and reading through the Book of Esther together at the Lawrence house. Details about the address and childcare to come later or upon request.
While we all look forward to Resurrection Day, there is something incredibly powerful about stepping back into the very room where it all began. Before the empty tomb, there was a Passover Seder. You're invited to join my congregation on April 1st at 6:00 PM as we walk through the Seder together. By experiencing the […]
We also look forward to the seventh day of Unleavened Bread, which is a high Sabbath. That day begins at sunset on Tuesday the 7th, and it signifies the completion of the week of Israel's set-apart journey away from Egypt. It's also likely the day of Israel's baptism in the Red Sea. In other words, it's […]
Pot-Luck Lunch This upcoming Saturday, April 25. is the last Shabbat of the month, which is typically our monthly fellowship meal. We love these Oneg weeks even though they require a bit more effort, as they give us the chance to get better acquainted. Please bring a dish to share and plan to stay until […]
